On the historic occasion of the first State Visit by the President of Ireland to the United Kingdom, President Michael D. Higgins will be guest of honour at a special evening of music, spoken word and dance at the Royal Albert Hall on Thursday 10th April, 2014.

In the presence of the President of Ireland, some of our finest musicians, singers, actors, authors and poets will feature in this unique evening, sharing and celebrating the strength and range of collaboration and creativity between Ireland and the United Kingdom and the contribution of the Irish community in Britain.

Entitled ‘Ceiliúradh’ (Celebration), the evening concert will feature both world-renowned and emerging artists from Ireland and the UK.

Tickets (£10, including booking fees) for this ‘One Night Only’ event will be available from 9am on Friday 28 February through the Royal Albert Hall Box Office, online at www.royalalberthall.com or by phone on 0845 401 5034. A maximum of 4 tickets per person will be made available for the event.

Proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the Irish Youth Foundation (UK) to be used in support of Irish cultural projects in Britain.
John Dwyer, Chairman of the Irish Youth Foundation (UK), said: “We are delighted to be associated with the event not least on the 25th anniversary of the foundation of the IYF (UK). It is appropriate that we allocate the money raised to support Cultural Events for young people in the UK and we are delighted for the support shown to us by all involved, not least Culture Ireland”
